A small car park is available at the footbridge leading into the reserve. The 1-2 mile walk to the shoreline is enough to deter visitors just looking for a day at the beach. The clearance of the overgrowth in sea buckthorn bushes and the relative remoteness makes for a reserve with stunning wildlife and large, unspoiled sand dunes. Note: dogs are not allowed on the reserve!
Amazing place to visit , if you after a long walk that's a spot to be for you. Just left your car at the car park and head through the wooden bridge to start your journey. You could get to Beach if you turn left , if you turn right the path will take you to Gullane beach which is over the hill. Be ready for long walk which could take about 2hrs both ways If you want to go that farr ,bring snack and water with you. You thank me later .
Nice easy outdoor walk. Approx 3 miles from the car park to the coast and back - easily done in under an hour.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Love this place! The wildlife, the solitude, the amazing beaches all contribute towards a fantastic experience. Catch the sunset here. Unforgettable!
Lovely walk, first time I've came here and on a sunny day you would think you where abroad. Beautiful views and the shipwreck is cool.
Woodland walk, nature reserve then on towards some lovely secluded beach coves.Miles of beautiful coastline.
Lovely nature reserve, great walk, stunning scenery, fantastic photographic opportunities ranging from macro, wildlife & landscapes.
A very easy, colourful ealk with just the sounds of the birdlife. Often glimpses of deer with their little white bums, so cute. I had whole bay to myself the other day. Great to just sit in the bay with a flask if coffee and enjoy views of Edinburgh and Arthur seat across the water. A great favourite walk.
What a lovely walk if not a bit muddy but such a lovely, quite place to go and enjoy, just us and the birds and a few people So good!
