Lovely gardens with different sections and aspects surrounded by lovely countryside. Not huge but you can take a nice leisurely stroll round and have a bite to eat at the cafe by the pond, which is lovely outside on a nice day, and a look in the gift shop at the end. Nice to see at different times of the year. Worth a visit.
Just beautiful, what a magical setting. Lovely gardens and wooded walks with nice views. Good access to garden paths. Great tearooms with a nice all-day menu and plenty of seating. House partly open for access to Ninfarium indoor garden. Also a local art exhibition during our visit.
The best garden I have ever visited! Well done trustees and volunteers! Many different spaces from pure ornamental to formal beds, productive spaces and informal woodland walk. Absolutely entranced by the planting, viewpoints and to cap it all really good food and drink served in the cafe by the lake. I note that there is accommodation and not surprised that it's booked up a year in advance.
Beautiful gardens in bloom. Cafe food is delicious and plentiful with a nice selection and lovely homemade cakes. The staff are outstanding. Polite, efficient and friendly. The cafe gets very buisy. There is seating available outside under the marquee and In the open. Restrooms: Clean and tidy with fresh flowers in vases. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are not allowed.
We were not planning to come here today but so pleased we did. There's a lot to see in this garden with a nice combination of woodland and herbaceous planting. When we visited much of the herbaceous plants had died back but it was still good to see the bones of the garden. There's a wonderful tropical house which is full of some really interesting and different plants. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming making for a really enjoyable visit.
Stone walled gardens, a beautiful walk around the grounds and a lovely medical property maintaining much of its fascinating history. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Beautiful flowers and plants.
Ever since I was little I have stayed in the cottages here and walked around it's beautiful gardens. The cafes are very nice and the cottages are very homely and spacious. I've always loved coming here and highly recommend it for big families or even if its just yourself.
Stunning gardens, so much interest nicely laid out paths/steps. Lots of benches to sit & take in the beauty. Lovely cafe too.
No matter when you visit you’ll be delighted. Even in the middle of winter, colour abounds in the Ninfarium and a blanket of early morning frost can give the gardens a magical appearance. Great food in the cafe too!
Visited the Winter Fair at the beautiful location. Lots of stalls with artisan gifts and food/drink marquee. Long queue for the tearoom which was expected as a very popular event. Choirs singing which made the day even more enjoyable.
