Each day, I take my two spirited Border Collies along, and they revel in the vast expanse of clean, golden sand beneath their paws.nnWhat fascinates me is the beach's ever-changing character. Throughout the year, it offers a diverse array of discoveries, from washed-up driftwood to intriguing sea life temporarily making an appearance on the shore.nnThe beach's length is another aspect I cherish. Walking almost seamlessly from the Dee to the Don, accompanied by the gentle rhythm of the waves, provides a welcome escape from the demands of everyday life. The sand is impeccably clean and finely grained, making each step a pleasure.nnFor those who appreciate nature, have a fondness for dogs, or simply seek a tranquil retreat, Aberdeen Beach is a place that stands out. It's a locale where memories are crafted, unexpected finds are encountered, and life's simpler joys are deeply appreciated. Whether it's the joyful barks of my collies resonating with the waves or a stunning sunset gracing the horizon, Aberdeen Beach consistently leaves a lasting impression.
Aberdeen beach is a lovely place to just sit and watch the water. There’s plenty of free parking along the pier and it’s only a short walk to get on the beach. It’s safe and a great place to take dogs to play as you see a lot of the locals do.
Lovely long beach, ideal for walking the dog or along the paved area higher up. Plenty to see out at see and landmarks on land. Parking outside cafes and amusements busy but further along not an issue.
Always amazes me that so many locals dont realise how lucky they are to have such a fantastic stretch of beach right on their doorstep , it stretches from the Don to the Dee and has a 2km boardwalk with views north towards Peterhead and south to Girdleness lighthouse, theres plenty of places to eat after enjoyong the walk alongside the sea
