Although I am very happy with the house itself, unfortunately my experience with getting issues resolved with Abel Homes has been difficult.nnWe had an issue with our garden being inadequate topsoil, which was picked up during our snagging report. This was brought up later as we were unhappy with the large number of very big stones in the garden. After much argument, customer services agreed to rotavate the garden. This obviously did not improve the stone situation, it simply brought new stones to the surface.nnI decided to attempt raking the stones myself, during the process I only moved the top 1cm or so of soil, but I collected massive piles of large stones, some of which were larger than my hand, bits of polystyrene, chunks of wood and metal wire. All of this was only within a few square metres of the garden.nnI contacted Abel Homes customer services again, who have fobbed me off and told me they are not prepared to do anything. They claim they have done everything that is required of them, which cannot be true since this issue was picked up during the snagging inspection.nnUnfortunately I will have to take this to NHBC to attempt to rectify the issue. Its just a huge shame because Abel Homes pride themselves on quality, but my experience is that the quality is lacking in areas. Although the issue is 'just a garden issue' my concern would be that their attitude towards resolution would be the same for other 'more serious' problems.nnIn all honestly their dismissive attitude and refusal to properly fix the problem would make me think twice about purchasing again.
My partner and I bought our house towards the end of 2018. We absolutely love it! Our house is built to the very highest quality and the service we received was excellent. Nicola in the marketing suite was extremely friendly and helpful. She played an important role in making the buying process stress free. Danny, the site manager, was also great, he is knowledgeable and always happy to help. The site team are always friendly which has been nice whilst they are finishing the development. We would highly recommend.
We visited the Swaffham sales suit today and were meet with very professional and friendly lady from the sales team we would love to buy the show home.
After being messed about by Barratt homes we discovered Rokeles green, Abel homes and have never regretted our choice. The build quality is second to none. Every member of staff has gone above and beyond and nothing has ever been to much to ask. We have had a few very small issues expected with any new build but they have been rectified very quickly! 100% recommend Abel homes!
Bought our first home in the Hares Green development and it was a great process from start to finish. We are so stuck on Abel Homes we keep tabs on them for our next home!
