Id highly recommend Abbotswood. They have always been absolutely fantastic every time we have been in. They give longer consults if needed for anxious pets. I usually see Grace who also opened my eyes to pain trials and how beneficial they are. Hannah and Grace were also amazing when we were going through the diagnosis and eventually the sad loss of my heart dog Hugo at the start of the year. I can't thank the whole team enough for being so supportive through that time. 5* these ladies are fantastic!
I was referred to Grace for a pain assessment for my spaniel. What a wonderful group of people! Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. And went out of their way to make us both comfortable:
We recently moved to Abbotswood vets after reading some very good reviews, and I'm so glad we did.nMy first visit to them was for a sad reason, my elderly guinea pig was very poorly and unfortunately had to be put to sleep.nThe vet was absolutely lovely; she gave me a realistic outcome of any treatments we could try and didn't try to push me one way or the other which I have encountered at other vet clinics. She have me time to say goodbye to my piggie and didn't rush me at all.nShe was very kind throughout the whole thing and made a sad visit as easy as possible. She mentioned at the time that they would take some paw prints for me to remember my piggie which I thought was lovely.nA little while later, an absolutely lovely card arrived in the post with not only the paw prints, but a hand drawn picture of my piggie, a lovely message of condolence and a little packet of poppy seeds to grow in the garden to remember her by. So wonderful and caring, it made me tear up all over again, but in a good way! Thanks so much xxx
Wonderful vets, I actually enjoy going! Grace is so patient with my nervous, reactive rescue and is very happy to sedate him for his own well-being and to reduce his stress and mine!. She doesn’t just care for the dog physically, but mentally too and is very experienced with behavioural issues. Very reasonably priced X-rays and medication. So glad I found this lovely vet.
If I moved to the other size of the world I’d fly back just to get my boy Sonny seen to by these fantastic bunch of wonderful humans . Sonny has had his fair share of problems and always gets so stressed going here, but the welcome we both get, and the care and attention both Sonny and I get is above and beyond anywhere I’ve ever been. They get down to their level and really include your fur baby in all conversations, while still making a fuss of him . He’s had problems recently which have been ongoing and Hannah and Grace have been wonderful .nGrace is just amazing and makes Sonny feel at ease . Grace performed acupuncture on Sonny yesterday, we allowed to stay in with him and watch as she worked on him , she’s so professional and accommodating. . It’s also a lovely bright and airy welcoming place and anyone looking for a veterinary practice for any of your pets would be missing out if they didn’t go here Tracy and the rest of the staff are just wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. If I could give 20+ stars i would , and then some . Once again thank you
