A fab day out. The audio tour is really interesting and keeps you engaged. The new visitor centre is great - a good exhibition plus very nice & clean toilets. The cafe is also very good with friendly and attentive staff and a good choice of dishes, including gluten free and vegan options.
Beautiful and interesting house with an original story based commentary to accompany. Only let down one star by limited access, downstairs only c.6 rooms. Fantastic gardens and walks along the river. New shop and tea room facilities make this professionally done. Buy one ticket and it can last you a year.
Stunning place to visit. The cafe/restaurant also do a fab breakfast roll. If you take your dog with you be sure the staff will make a fuss of them and offer a biscuit and water.
Everyone should visit this beautiful house and it's grounds. All the staff are so lovely and friendly. Also a bonus that you can get your tickets to be valid for 12 months. Nice play area for the kids and some nice walks. Definitely recommend a visit.
