Good experience at Abbeywell, kind staff and I was well treated. Some room for improvement, if possible, with the wait times and phone/booking systems but I imagine that all takes funding that these surgeries don’t have.
While we were at nightingale surgery today my daughter came over all faint and nauseous while she was sat down waiting for me to sort some stuff out. Tracey the receptionist came over straight away and got some water for her and also a paramedic nicola was there at the time too and checked her over. Wanted to say how brilliant they were and efficient. So lucky to have a great service and help from them thank you. Always been very helpful with my appointments too.
Appalling phone system as unable to even join a phone queue to book a more urgent appointment from 8:30am....and now the same is true for routine nurse appointments from 2pm. Only option is to go to the practice in person, which is highly inconvenient, or impossible for those at work all day or for some of those more vulnerable in our community. This also increases spread of illness, which in turn will increase the demand placed on the practice further.nnI understand where they don't have the capacity to deal with inbound calls which results in long queues, as they don't have an unlimited budget....but someone has made the decision to run the phone system this way, resulting in a phone lottery, and the prospect of not being able to get through at all...which makes it preventable, and therefore unforgivable, given it's health and in some instances life or death.nnPlease rectify this, or employ someone that can....thank you.
Very poor experiences here. Severe lack of communication between doctors, nurses, reception and the neighbouring pharmacy. Very difficult to book an appointment or get through on the phone. Complete mixed bag with some very rude members of staff, some very helpful, there doesn't seem to be an in-between. Come away from multiple experiences in tears after either things haven't been communicated properly between staff, or with me, staff were very rude, blunt and disinterested or doctors themselves were dismissive. I dread having to call this practice. I actively put off going to the doctor even about important things. I work in the veterinary field and if we treated our clients a fraction of the way I've felt I've been treated here we'd be completely out of business.
Tracy was so helpful trying to help me get a blood test appointment for my mum while I had my grandson in background she looked it up for me so grateful as I was all over the place I have had no trouble with anybody down here they are all doing there jobs as best they can so thank you
