Thank you soooo much .. Beverley and Jenny for being there for me and my Daughter .. when we knew we was in the vets knowing we was going there and not coming out with our cat Missy .. made it a little easier for us both .. talked though everything.. my Daughter forgot to ask for some fur and even though it was super busy .. she made it happen with no fuss .. Thank you both again we won't forget her and won't forget u both too .. xx
I had to have my beautiful 15 year old cat pts here last week. They were so caring and let her take her last breaths with dignity. Really lovely surgery and nice staff. Thank you for making a really difficult day a little easier.
Had a first visit today as a new client at darton branch for my 2 male guinea pigs. Hat can i say! Superb service was seen promptly and welcomed by receptionist Donna who was fantastic in person as well as on the phone and best of all the treatment was half the price of my old vets. I couldn't believe it! I'm so glad to have found a vet who carries out treatments properly and doesn't rob me blind. Thankyou!
Really friendly place. Visited a couple of times with my new dog Treacle. Macarena, the vet, has a lovely approach and Treacle seemed happy enough. A deep clean of her teeth was required and she had to be aneasthetised so was there for the day. Treacle now has beautiful white teeth! There is also a follow-up appt this morning, and before that a phone call to check on her wellbeing. The girls on reception are welcoming and will give advise and help wherever they can.
My miniture Dachund Had her teeth Cleaned and polished at Abbey vets a couple of weeks ago, they did a good job as her teeth was white again and tarter free she is 12 yearsnHowever what does CONCERN ME is that on more than 3 occasions they tried to persuade me to have some of her teeth extracted with the procedure on examination before the tartar was removed, though she had no noticable problems with her teeth and her appetite was good dogs go off thier food if there is a tooth problem i was adament Thelma did not need any teeth out but i said i would review it if there is a specific problem after the tartar had been removed as you can see more clearly the teeth then Abbey vets were quoting btw £72 per toothnDuring the procedure i got another phone call from Abbey vets that thelma needed 6 teeth out..in shock i was adamrnt again and said no extractions.nWhen i picked her up from the vets Thelmas teeth were all clean and job well done as i had asked for but no clear signs of 6 teeth needing extraction! only 1 slightly decaying but no loose and most in good shape for a 12 year old dog! nIf Abbey had have had their way Thelma would have had 6 teeth less than she has now extraction would have been unecessary and caused thelma pain and discomfort for no reason, but additional to this it would have been a very high bill too £99 scale polish plus 6 x £72 ..£500 total bill when added up if I had given in for something that wasnt needed...my CONCERN IS how many other unnecessary extractions have ABBEY VETS done to accumilate more money and not really though about the animals needs?nI would like an Answer as Thelmas teeth are all fine i can even provide a photo of evidence to proove my point.nI would just like to add btw the receptionist at Darton was lovely and could not fault her customer care thank you for that but questions are to be answered Abbey vets
