I have not been to the surgery for 2 years and always avoid unless its very necessary I had very bad telephone service from Dr Doctor Dabar he does not listen to you as a patient he does have a discussion with patients to understand, he assumes and does not ask any questions, he does not look at the patient file to find out whether there is a history with the same issue and follow up from there and he talks a lot and talk over you when you ask him to slow down so you can explain what is going on with you he gets mad at you and disconnects the phone, then I had to call back and spoke to a rude receptionist really bad service. I know there are a few good doctors in this surgery but its hard to get the doctor you want and they always give you the worst GP. There is no doctor patient Relationship any more I understand they are under pressure but treating patients in that manner does not reduce the pressure they are under and it makes it worse for everyone bringing back professionalism to the practice might do a lot of good in installing trust and advocacy to the surgery.
Sustained poor service over a period of years. I have been at this GP basically my whole life and they provide a terrible service top to bottom. It honestly feels like they just don't want to help people, don't want you to call, don't want you to go there, don't want anything to do with you. I have avoided going to the doctor so many times just because I know what a struggle it will be... it would probably be easier to just go to the hospital because they are such a nightmare to deal with. If you're new to the area and looking fora GP I would dodge this place at all costs.
This is the worst surgery I have been involved with. Getting an appointment is almost impossible by phone. Appointments apparently opens up by 8.30am and if you call sharp by that time, it will take 5 mins to pass the irritating repeat prescription instructions. And by this time all appointments will be apparently taken. Every time I visit the surgery by calling 111, it will hardly have a couple of patients so not sure how they are very busy always.
People run away from this GP. They are not helping completely at all. After ignorance of all doctors in this GP and not interest to my father healthy problems, my father nearly died with his illnesses. He had myocardial infarction heart attackbut they treated him as chest infection, he had urine box cancer symptoms but they treated him as mussels pain. When he ask about any tests they ignored him and avoided to give him prescriptions. They are like killers.
Impossible to get an appointment! Had to call 111 for my ailment, who said the GP should have dealt with it. Currently waiting for a call back but nothing so far!
This GPs appointment system is one of the worst one I had the misfortune of using. Trying to get an appointment consists of waking up at 8:30am, repeatedly calling the phone for half an hour hoping that youre gonna get put into a queue of waiting for 25 mins instead of just being told the receptionists are busy and being hung up. If you havent managed to get into the queue by about 9am, might as well forget about it as its more likely to win the lottery than get an appoitment. Couldn't help but think this whole issue could be avoided by allowing to book the next couple of days. I've sat through illnesses cos of their awful appointment system and the mission of having to book one.
I hate calling this place. I’ve suffered through illnesses rather than call here & have only called on family’s behalf. Calling by phone is a pathetic waste of time. Overly long announcements before being put into a queue. The receptionists seem to be trained in how to be a touchy, patronising bunch of ‘ladies’. If u show any warranted frustration at the POOR service or point out ANY errors on THEIR part while not being rude you are patronisingly informed that you ARE being rude and offensive and that they can end the call?! They can’t multitask or handle any criticism professionally and seem quick to take offence at any… little… thing - I know that’s not unusual these days but you expect more from doctors receptionists. God only knows what all these people do to pass the interview. Requested an simple updated letter of mother’s medications for her blue badge application from the receptionist who answered the call, only to be told that I need to book a ‘doctors appointment’ to get that??!! Can’t get a doctors appointment!! What a complete waste of a doctors appointment that would be anyway. They’ll CALL you with an ‘already booked’ appointment for the vax tho - but they’re paid for that, so…Hmmm This surgery definitely needs some new doctors… a couple of them look like the crypt keeper, are hugely condescending and I personally didn’t understand how people were STILL instructed to wear masks when with the doctor but the doctor wasn’t wearing one??!! Really?! So you have to protect the doctor from something he’s obviously not that worried about , by wearing a mask but this ‘pill salesman’ doesn’t have to? I’m not even sure if the word ‘doctor’ applies anymore. This surgery needs to be investigated.
Drove down there but I wasn't aware that they don't accept people in the surgery any more due to corona virus. So I had to wait till they open and call up to get an emergency appointment. Some of the staff were quite irate and agitated I'm guessing due to its being busy . Unfortunately they directed their irritation towards me . Luckily I am understanding but other may not be so forgiving.
I would just like to share our experience with this 'surgery' today. We called 111 this morning as our infant son who is only 15 months old was feeling poorly and with a loss of appetite, temperature and cough. They helped us to book a GP phone appointment for 2.20pm and agreed that he should be examined in person. Come 2.20pm, surprise surprise no one called. So we called the surgery at 3pm where they said the appointment was for 4.10pm. The doctor did not call until 5.40pm! All he could say was 'I agree he should be seen in person but call in the morning to book an appointment'! So we waited a total of 7 hours from the 111 call just to be told this and in the process wasting a whole day trying to get care for our baby who may or may not be seriously ill. This is disgraceful care and this isn't the first time I've experienced this level of care from them. I do wonder if this surgery is perhaps using the current pandemic as an excuse not to see people at all, let alone an infant who cannot speak for himself! Abbey road surgery you should be ashamed of yourselves as a service! And that is why people go straight to A&E and not a surgery which is probably what you want anyway.
This is my surgery for over twenty five years and the decline just keeps getting worse. Now COVID is the excuse for the worst possible patient/ customer experience. The Doctors are fantastic but they are let down by centre's AWFULLY MANAGED service which seems centered around the administration rather than Customer / Patient Service. The bizarre appointment system and mainly rude and unhelpful reception staff everyone have same problems with this clinic no improvement at all waiting half hour to get simple appointment
