We were very lucky to visit Kenilworth on a warm and sunny day so very much enjoyed the walk up from the station up to and across Abbey Fields.nIt’s obviously a very popular place with locals, particularly dog walkers as we made lots of new friends on our walk.nIt would be the perfect place for a picnic or just to sit on one of the benches to listen to the bird song and marvel at Nature.nA great asset to the town.
Great 'lung' for Kenilworth! Perfect place for almost everyone...I say almost because there's quite a bit of renovation happening at the moment. The swimming baths have been demolished!nNevertheless, it's a super place to get some fresh, exercise and play for the kids. The pond is a highlight with the ducks and geese and other birds. Also a ideal place to walk the dogs...
A lovely open area in Kenilworth. A very pretty church and the remains of an abbey. A children's playground. Duck ponds.nIt was very busy, so there was no room for parking. It was very muddy - Welly time !
Car park by church is Slightly tricky entrance / exit through trees, only enough space for cars in one direction, if queue going in.is longer than 3-4 cars it extends back over pavement, and potentially into road, don't turn in until there is space.nPay by machine or mobile app. RingGo But get a ticket for first two hours free to display in car .nnthen buy additional timeif requied, .. this can be confusing as you need to buy time at end of two hours ....nnI don't think this is possible at the same time so either need to return to.macine or use Ring Go App.
Very nice place to visit, this was my second time. There are a few large and gated play areas for the kids and theres a lake in the middle. There is also a public restroom and a place to get coffee, plus an ice cream van. It's fairly pram friendly too.nnThe car park is of moderate size but it can be difficult to find a space, it always seems full and can be narrow in places. It's also pay and display.nnKenilworth is within walking distance and that's worth checking out too. As are the ruins of Kenilworth Castle nearby.
