A good hotel for business travellers but I wouldn’t stay more than a few nights. The rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. The biggest selling point is this hotel is quiet! I didn’t hear anything while in my room, and although I didn’t have an amazing view, there was never a slamming door or noise from adjacent rooms. It was peaceful. The shower is as hot as you like it! Beautiful and there are toiletries to use in the bathroom. I found the staff polite but not many of them around and you must engage if you want a conversation. The breakfast was hot and always plentiful even during a busy morning, but I found the coffee from both machines unbearable and the scrambled eggs appeared to be from powder and that turned my stomach. I’d stay here again for the awesome location and the fact I slept so well, but it isn’t always the cheapest! Rooms: The rooms are small with not masses of space but it is well utilised and if travelling for business or pleasure, perfectly reasonable for a few nights. There’s tea and coffee in the rooms, a TV, plus toiletries for washing yourself in the bathroom. Nearby activities: There’s so much to do nearby. The main station is a short walk and within minutes you can be in Picadilly Gardens or the gay village. Safety: I felt safe here, it’s commercial and not usually frequented by those not staying here. Walkability: It’s in the centre of town and on a main road, so easily walkable to most places from here. Food & drinks: The breakfast is reasonably good although what appears to be powdered eggs. I didn’t like the coffee but there’s a wide selection of food on offer. Noteworthy details: It is playful in the design and you should look up at the ceiling in the reception. Also there is a massive deck chair in reception.
The service is outstanding at this hotel. Great location and small compact rooms, brilliant shower. Not unfortunately sound proof so If you have noisy neighbours, you have to put up with it, however only on this trip has it happened. Rooms: Small but has everything you expect from a mid range hotel.
We arrived in Manchester a bit earlier than planned and popped to the hotel to see if we could drop some bags off, but instead they let us check in to our room several hours early! This was a very welcome plus. The rooms are a great size for a short stay, with some toiletries provided, iron, hair dryer etc. The room had a tv too. Rooms were very quiet and had good A/C. Breakfast was nice with plenty of selection and catered for a range of dietary needs. Would recommend stay here! Rooms: Quiet, well stocked
First time here. Nice modern, clean, hotel with friendly staff. Good for a few nights. On arrival slightly surprised to find toilet had been used and not flushed but probably just an oversight. I'd stay again. Rooms: Small, compact but enough space to move and bonus to have iron. Good modern bathroom and hot shower. Nearby activities: In city centre and handy for trams, museums, galleries, shops, restaurants. Ideal. Safety: No problem. Good door security in the late hours. Felt safe. Noisy neighbours late on but not for long. Walkability: Walk everywhere as its so central. Food & drinks: Breakfast was plentiful with good range. Cooked breakfast was tasty.
Brilliant location for the city centre. Lovely clean rooms and the reception staff were unbelievably accommodating. We were allowed to check in early and they even helped us with amending our booking on the spot! Superb service
Room seem compact but functional and whilst shower was nice and hot the power was non-existent. We are situated at the side of the building which was very noisy throughout the evening and had early deliveries with truck doors slamming. Breakfast wasn't anything special and nothing like the photos represented - cereals toast and 5 hot breakfast items were it. I'm sure I saw pastries other than croissants and muffins in the pictures.
Stayed here for 1 night for business trip. Location is great as it's right next to Piccadilly station. Room was comfortable with powerful shower. The only criticism was that the bed was quite hard and as a result, I had a bad night's sleep.Rooms: 3/5
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ibis Hotel, and I must say, the exceptional service I received from Vic at the front desk made my experience truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, Vic’s warm welcome and radiant smile set the tone for my entire stay. Not only was Vic professional and efficient, but they also went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my check-in was smooth and seamless. What truly stood out was Vic’s attention to detail and genuine desire to help. Whether it was answering my questions with patience, offering great recommendations for local spots, or quickly resolving any minor issues, Vic handled everything with a level of grace and charm that is rare to find. Vic’s ability to balance multiple tasks while remaining composed and cheerful is impressive, and it’s clear they take pride in delivering top-notch customer service. I can't thank them enough for making my stay feel special and personalized. If you’re ever at Ibis, be sure to look out for Vic – their service truly elevates the entire hotel experience.
Decent room - clean & spacious, but quirky ! There was lots of external noise unfortunately- due to bus , tram & dustcart. I’d use another hotel if you are a light sleeper! Shower & breakfast was excellent though Rooms: Na Nearby activities: Na Safety: Na Walkability: Great location Food & drinks: Na Noteworthy details: Na
My stay here was just perfect from the very beginning. Vic was the best. I really appreciated her hospitality, friendliness and her personal recommendations what to do in the city. My experience here couldn’t be better. The room was great and the hotel was well located and very convenient. I would stay here and next time I visit Manchester.
