Went into branch in late 2017, I was advised that I would be contacted within the following two weeks with a quote. It’s been four months, I’ve called and emailed several times- still no quote. 
The young man I spoke to was arrogant and slightly obnoxious, he’s also, evidently unorganised and unable to return a call/ email. Would NOT recommend. 
The ONLY good thing I could say is the other two members of staff I spoke to were friendly and polite.

Have had my car insurance with them for 6 years starting with 9 years no claims discount. I recently noticed my no claims years did not increase above 9 years for the last two years, despite no claims made. Checking with them they say they do not provide claims evidence for more than 9 years NCB, because their insurers do not give additional discounts beyond 9 years. Instead of 15 years NCB I still have 9. I am not very happy as other insurers may well use NCB greater than 9 years and so I think I may have lost out. 
Would not recommend them on that basis, but other than that they are OK, but have not needed to make a claim.
UPDATE: Following posting above, A-Plan contacted me and asked me to remove it. They have now sent me a letter stating I started out in 2010 with 10 years NCB, and 6 no claims years later it has reduced to 9 years. Prior to renewing the policy they were adamant, such a letter could not be provided. I now have to ask our new provider to amend their records. 
It continues to baffle me why an insurance broker would do this kind of thing.

I can only speak from my experience with the Cheltenham office over the last few years. The Cheltenham team have always been helpful, as well as giving us good advice and value (which is different to 'cheap').
