Only one side of back door opened in my transit. I discovered that after taking my sofa out of flat. When dropping van off I have been told by a receptionist that I should have phoned them and let them know. The problem I had was sofa on pavement and long to do list. Always check for those things before driving away. I was naive thinking that my transit would be handed over to me in perfect working order.

Better value than the big chains and good range of vans usually always available. Smashingly nice staff, always helpful and fair. Key drop off available for after hours drop off too. A sound family business.

Hired a van for 24 hours. Returned the van to branch after 7 hours as the steering wheel jaddered and felt unsafe driving. Van had plenty condensation on the inside of the roof; AMK said it was totally normal! I also noticed a heavily worned out front tyre which I brought to AMK staff attention. According to them, the tyre was fine (over 1.6mm thread depth) and told me that I was over concerned about the shakey steering. I will not hire a vehicle from AMK ever again.

Good local car hire company. They have cars ranging from small city car to vans. Staff is friendly and prices are very reasonable. Have hired fron them 10+ times, never had a problem.
