First I want to say that I support all the local shops in Malton as I do live locally, but as for Lloyds Pharmacy… Went in about a month or so to get a painkiller that I needed, I was spoken to in a rude unhelpful way, I was questioned and got refused the service that I needed. The young girl by the name of Amy that is there isn’t very polite or helpful. I made a formal complaint via email, I got an apology and was told it would be dealt with. I don’t believe the matter at hand was dealt with. I no longer go in there unless i have no other choice. Sad because the community in Malton are polite and friendly people.
I come in here every week to collect my medicine. All the ladies here are always so lovely and friendly. Thank you ladies!
We stayed in Malton about a month ago. My partner is undergoing treatment for cancer and brought the wrong tablets with her. Lloyds pharmacy in Malton were extremely helpful in getting the tablets she needed. The staff are so friendly and really went out of their way to get her the required tablets. It make you realise how nice some people are in time of need.
Judging by the reviews of bad customer service, it’s not just me experiencing this. I was verbally discriminated & told I would be refused entry if I did not display a medical exemption card as the law states. The problem with this is that the law does not state this in the slightest, quite the opposite. Quoting the government website: “If you have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering you do not routinely need to show any written evidence of this”. I had a fatal motorcycle accident leaving me with professionally diagnosed PTSD after not being able to remove my helmet for over 2 hours while laid in the middle of the road, which causes me to struggle with masks. I legally need to show no evidence of my medical records. I have full rights to privacy of this. The manageress gave me a full dressing down I would assume due to me being a young male. I am fully aware of the laws as my elder father was actually waiting for his products in the car due to being a vulnerable party! After my father was home, I returned to the store to discuss this as I felt I had been treated unfairly & was dismissed despite attempting to level with her and show her written evidence that she had made an error government website statements. You are discriminating against mental health by acting this way! The one star is for the lovely sales assistant who approached me beforehand and asked me if I had a mask, & when I explained I was exempt she was actually apologetic for asking me, for which I thanked her for asking. This is the way to behave & shows a great level of competence & compassion. She then helped me in choosing a suitable product. A lovely start with a lovely woman, an awful end with an awful woman. I have made a formal complaint requesting a written apology & will be continuing down the path to make it known that this woman is a class A example of why you need to choose senior staff more carefully. I work at a high level in the family business just happening to be a nationwide discount retail company so I have to be very considerate & educated in these policies. It’s a shame that this woman seemed to enjoy being so ignorant & power hungry.
I can't thank them enough, especially through lockdown , with delivering my medication. My repeat prescriptions are always ready on time too.
Often seems to be low on stock or not have basic things in. Disabled access is terrible, really heavy narrow doors are always closed, and the staff are right at the back so you can't get them to open the doors for you. The bit with the gifts etc is up a step so I never bother. They have a ramp to the pharmacy counter but it's a narrow access as they have a poorly placed sales rack in the middle of that area. The staff are nice and it's clean etc, but it really needs automatic doors ....really... I mean come on, you sell mobility aids inside a shop you can't access if in a wheelchair and have noone with you.
The staff are always very knowledgeable and helpful! Always going above and beyond to help! This is the pharmacy I alway recommend to people!!
Since the head pharmacist left a year or so ago this pharmacy has become absolutely awful and unreliable. The level of incompetence and bad customer service is truly outrageous. Not so much as a single sorry when they fail to get essential medication. AVOID
Poor manager in this Lloyds pharmacy branch. Rude and impolite. This branches attitude is also upsetting. Improve Lloyds.. falling behind with poor staff members and manager! Reporting in due process!!
Dreadful locum pharmacist. Very unhelpful and rude. I have made an official complaint to LIoyds and received a apology but won't be returning.
