Stayed here overnight for a business related event in the town. Room was actually very nice and for the price I would say it was better than some of the Premier Inn or Holiday inns i have stayed at. Bar and restaurant is just down the stairs. Slap bang in the middle of town close to all the relevant transport links. Parking is the main issue, we had to park around 5mins from the hotel, but not really a problem in the grand scheme of things.
The room was pretty decent for the price. Comfy bed. The staff/waiters are nice. I actually liked that it was above Wetherspoons and accessible through the pub ! very convenient location 10 minutes from station and 2 minutes from the theatre. Would defo stay here again as it’s cheap.
Came in today . Lewis kindly helped us with our phone app. There was a small issue with our meal Fish n Chips Lewis dealt with the issue promptly and to our satisfaction. The meal tasted lovely. Good meal great service
Great place to stay we seen the red hot chilli pipers was in walking distance from the theatre. Rooms above the wetherspoons food served till 11 will return and definitely would recommend.
Manager should be ashamed, food was horrible, service was horrible. Paid for extras on both meals and wasn't given them. Baked potato tasted stale, burger looked sad. Waiter had a terrible attitude. The best thing about it was the orange and lemonade.. and the lemonade was flat! I hope this place shuts down one day or someone new takes over.
Classic Wetherspoons, cheap but looks like it has been refurbished. Asked for 2 Margaritas - 2 pizzas Margherita were brought instead of cocktails - need to be more specific
A very well run spoons. Food and drinks are always good. The staff are great. One of the better pubs in the chain.Rooms: 5/5
The hammering and drilling started at around 12 midnight, the Hotel was ripping up old flooring and fitting a new one at midnight !? What manger thought this was a good idea I'm not sure I gave up trying to sleep at 2am. Demanded a refund and drove back to London. Crazy people. Don't want to give one star but it will not let you post without one.
Great hotel great location great value - The size of the pillows could be a little bigger but that just a pure preference I'm sure to some this is about fine. Also the curtains could either do with being a bit bigger or being Velcro to wall so not to let so much light in just an idea - Other hotel brands really should take notes from wetherspoons hotels. Let's just start with the bathroom 1st the showers amazing 2nd storage loads of space bravo 3rd heating in the bathroom well done wetherspoons. The rooms where a great size nice comfortable beds nice biscuits and hot chocolate in the room and having an ironing board available in room great touch. Rooms: Amazing large rooms Food & drinks: Great menu served all day from 7am till 11pm
The place is disgusting tables are dirty and sticky the floors full of crumbs food like they dont t know what a hoover is.sfaff are rude ....wouldn't send my worse enemy to eat or drink there ...Service: 1/5
