Been dealing with these guys for 20+ years, by email and telephone, and can only say great things about them. Having a great relationship with the staff is key, along with great prices and honest lead times, where some other companies will promise you it tomorrow, and you’re still waiting a week later. Honesty and integrity is key.
I did speak to some quite helpful staff when trying to make a complaint about extortionate costs and late delivery, unfortunately I had to deal with the same salesman that took the order who was no help whatsoever and would not even consider a rebate even though the steel was a day overdue and 3 times the price of my usual supplier!? Safe to say I will not be using them again.
Great service, used them 3 times. One occasion was late but they called day before to let me know so worked out. Worked out cheaper than the locals in Notts even with the delivery charge. Driver was very polite and off loaded for me .
Expensive Angle Iron ! Ordered my Steel at Swadlincote and waited in my van to get it cut, It took ages and I did think it was expensive at almost £100 so did an EBay search out of curiosity, found it for £80 delivered to my door went back to the office to be told they couldn't cancel it because it was now cut, waited another 20 minutes before it was in my van ? Felt ripped off, will not use again.
I ORDER STEEL EVERY WEEK AND HAD NOTHINK BUT PROBLEMS WITH THEM AND AS I DONT TRUST ANY OF THE BIG COMPANYS I ALWAYS INSIST ON PAYING A DEPOSIT UNTILL THE DAY BEFORE ITS DUE FOR DELIVERY TODAY I TRANSFERED £400 AS A DEPOSIT THEN THEY CAME BACK TO AND SAID THEY WANT FULL PAYMENT WELL ITS OK FOR ME TO TRUST THEM AS WE ALL KNOW BIG COMPANY GO BUST THEN I LOOSE ALL MY MONEY BUT ITS NOT OK FOR THEM TO HAVE A LITTLE TRUST IN ME AS I SAID TO THEM I WANT THE STEEL AND YOU WANT MY MONEY I DID A BANK TRANSFER THEY THER SAYING THEY HAVE NOT HAD MY MONEY MY BANK SAYS THEY HAVE HAD IT CROOKS DONT PAY UP FRONT I DONT GIVE THEM ONE STAR BUT HAVE TO TO POST THIS
The worst steel company I have ever used they over charge don’t do invoice then blame everyone else I will never use again
Yard staff great help , office staff lazy ignorant muppets who don’t get up to serve customers in the office , a dozen staff and takes 10 minutes for anyone to come to the window to serve deliveries or collections .. Worst branch in the UK bar none
If you need to use them try only deal with them with email, If give them your phone number you'll be pestered with nuisance calls
Place is a joke been here over an hour and still not been seen
good service at fair price.
