Love going to this cinema, I prefer to go at quite times so always find a seat and am served quickly. Like all cinemas buying a beverage or snack is a treat so expect to pay a little more than you would elsewhere but its all part of the cinema experience. During my last visit there was a particularly good security guard on duty who really wasn't shy about telling people to put their mobiles away as the movie was beginning and he kept coming back to keep an eye on things. I do wish they would have more people like that at Vue just to keep those rowdy viewers quiet. It's quite underrated and utilised but definitely a good clean cinema.
Paid extra for vip seats, but the seats was exactly the same as the others, but we had a rail in front of us which restricted leg room, very uncomfortable, my son ordered a cup of pop, a little box of popcorn and a small pack of m&ms £15.70. This is supposed to be an offer, savoy cinema, half the price, and twice as much. Not be using vue again, uncomfortable and very expensive
Interior nice and clean. Wide variety of snacks. Plenty of films to see in both 2D and 3D. Nicely kept seats. Films take a bit too long to come on though. Snacks also a bit pricey.
Well set out, easy access for wheelchairs and facilities. Clean, lovely staff who are friendly and welcoming. Nothing to do with VUE but note solo self propelling users, from the car park is uphill so break out your muscles or bring your P.A
First showing of the day in VIP seats. Seats not the comfiest nor extra legroom. Main grumble was the cinema 5 was so cold you could see your breathe. Said they would put heating on , film Avatar 3hrs , first two hours felt like frozen 3 ! Could of given everyone a free tea or something but charged £4 for a hot drink which was essential due to it being so cold. Staff are friendly, place was spotless.
Fantastic Film John Wick 4 is a blast Great value seat £5.99 online. And thats as good as ir gets! In who's mind is a drink, tub of popcorn and a bag of £1.25 malteasers worth £14.99. John Wick was the action, The Vue supplied the comedy. Never seen so many people with oversize coats.
Horrible, miserable, ignorant staff, especially one in particular, a female who totally blanked out my grandson that was trying to have a conversation with her, like he didn't exist whilst talking to her. She heared him and wouldn't even acknowledge him. Very upsetting it was. She was quite rude to us shouting about which door to go put of too. The seats are awful, very uncomfortable unlike the ones at Savoy. Food and drink extortionate too. Savoy for us next time! Only gave the 1 star as it won't post otherwise.
Terrible Cinema just go to Savoy Cinema Doncaster it's way better than this cinema. VUE Cinema Doncaster used to be fantastic back in the 2000's and early 2010's now it's just straight up terrible now. The cinema screens audio are way too loud it's just hurts your ears. The food and drinks prices are a ripoff just go a corner shop get sweets their because the food and drinks prices are outrageous. They changed everything and they made it all smaller now. They used to be an arcade, free VUE magazines and way more cinema screens now it all gone. Way too much kids there during the weekends and seats are terrible also the seats are way too small and hurt your back. Don't go to this cinema.
I hadn't been to a cinema for decades and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, guy on desk was ever so friendly and helpful. We got the VIP seats which were really comfy with plenty of leg room.
The cinema screen was dirty or had some kind of dirty look to the film watched film later at home and can confirm it was the cinema screen Seats were good, everything was clean apart from the screen.
