Whilst out we popped here for some lunch. The shop is very clean and really nicely decked out. The staff were really nice and pleasant. The cost was a little on the high side. The food, the fish looked overdone with the batter looking quite dark but when I cut into the fish it was beautiful. Real pleasure to eat. The chips golden brown and very very nice. The Tartar sauce was amazing. My partner said hers was lovely and the patty was thick fresh and good quality.
Called in this evening for fish and chips, would normally go to the funky fish but they don’t open Sundays so thought would try here instead. The order was a lot more expensive than other places and was not worth it. The chips were under cooked, the curry sauce had an awful tang to it. The fish itself was ok but unfortunately was ruined by the batter, overcooked sickly tasting disgusting. Won’t ever be going again £30 wasted on leaving my family feeling sick and hungry. The young lady behind the counter was friendly and polite, that’s the only positive thing about the visit
Love this place. Whenever I visit my family I always go here for my fish and chips. Food freshly cooked just right. Staff are great and the fryer is loud and proudFood: 5/5
Usually really good but was disappointed with the fish on this occasion. Not worth £10 Also they missed off part of my order, not good enough when there was only 2 customers in at the time, hardly rushed off their feet. Bad mistake when they need all the customers they can get !!
Delicious food,Really friendly & helpful staff, Great atmosphere Love this chippy Food: 5/5
Beautiful burger and chips! The curry sauce is one of the best ive had!
Love these guys. Super-friendly and always remember me and my usual order don't go THAT often honest. Fish cooked to order, so always good.
Small fish almost forced upon me / told was fried 7 minutes ago but was almost chewy. £9.10 small fish chips peas never agoan. Batter yuk
I have decided to review this takeaway as It is the second time I've used it and had a bad experience. The first time was around 2 years ago when I found a dark hair amongst my chips, I then decided to give it another chance as the other fish and chip shop in the village was queued out the door funky fish. Whilst waiting for my order I watched in horror as the owner put his finger in his ear and poked away whilst frying fish, he then put an order together without washing his hands, WOW will not back there again.
Good food - fish and chips and pie and chips with a large side of gravy and some mushy peas. Batter on fish was light and crisp and service was good. I like that they wrapped the food in cardboard boxes so it didn’t go soggy! Very happy with my chippy tea. Thanks
