I need a gas hob fitting a few days before Christmas! Most gas fitters wanted way more than the usual cost of £40 to £70 for installing and testing a simple gas hob. One even wanted £180! Some said it would be late January or early February before they could come and connect the hob. Gave these guys a call and booked them for a couple of days time, they not only showed up early, but had no problem waiting for my kitchen fitters to finish a few bits off (they were a bit behind). Although I can run pipes and connect them, you need to be gas-safe to connect gas appliances. I could tell these guys did a great job, even my fitters said so!
