Very good location, close to bus stop with buses going into city centre in just 10 mins. Clean room and facilities. The room was of very good size, accommodating our family of four. Especially impressed with the security locks, which gave us peace of mind. Very pleased with our stay here.Rooms: 5/5
Lovely little guest house! Was very pleased with how clean the room was and despite it being a shared bathroom, it was also super clean and very close to the bedrooms, so not a bother at all. The breakfast was simple but still plenty of options which was thoroughly enjoyed. There was no staff on site but they sent clear instructions prior to arriving and was assured they would be there if needed. Had a brief interaction with the staff during breakfast however who seemed very nice! Overall would definitely recommend this place, it felt safe, clean and peaceful
Everything clean and what you need. Hit dated and floor and bed are so creaky. Also if it's warm outside open you're window because the fire alarm went off in our room apparently because it was too hot
Welcoming and responsive host, decent sized room and amazing shower, only had breakfast once but what we had was really good. Had a really nice time, the beds were cozy. Only problem for us was the other guests, who during the night were a bit noisy but that's not the fault of the hotel. Only about a 30 minute walk to the city centre. Would stay again.
Decent location but it's basically a profit pit for the owners. It seems like no money has been spent refreshing, upgrading or improving the facilities. Rather just maintaining to the cheapest standard and taking the profits out. We stayed in room 2. Set the smoke alarm off twice before realising it was our deodorant spray. Bedside lights hanging off by one screw. This doesn't mean it wasn't clean though. I could not criticise the cleanlyness . Car parking is OK but I wouldnt want to take anything bigger than a saloon/hatchback. The alley to the carpark is very snug in a skoda karoq. Breakfast was suggested to be taken to your room but you can sit in a very small unventilated eating area. Again with the most basic of continental breakfasts. We were there for the edinburgh tattoo so thankfully did not spend much time there. I would not go back or recommend this hotel.
So before your check in time you get a code to access the doors and your room you get given a number incase you need any help but there is no reception desk, the room for a family was clean, tea and coffee in the room, the bathroom was clean as well. We needed help with a small problem but they were there to help and was friendly. Parking is at the rear of the building because we had arrived early they allowed us to park for the day and go out until our room was ready from here it's a nice walk to the city and isn't all that far. Arthur seat isn't far from this hotel if you just fancy a walk or picnic it is massive and u get great veiws. Transport outside the hotel
Nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either. Easy check in system. Decent location at just 10 mins walk from the main centre, clean, cozy, basic and good value. I'd recommend it if you'te happy with no frills accommodation.Rooms: 4/5
A good place to rest for your money. Not far from all the sights of the city, a warm blanket and clean bed. The breakfast was a nice bonus, and the beer bottles on the cupboard were unpleasant. In general, the impression is not bad
After driving for 5 hours we arrived to see the sign on the door to contact 'Susan'. It is unusual to have no reception whatsoever and nobody to greet you, which wouldn't have been a problem had 'Susan' been polite and helpful. She simply said 'Haven't you read the email or text we sent you?' It was sent whilst I was driving so..No Not the best welcome. It is understandable why they don't advertise on Tripadvisor as people's photos would put anyone off staying here. The shower was in a cupboard, so you could only shower with your fellow guests watching. One plug socket hanging off the wall and a the room smelled of cooking fat. The breakfast room was tiny and grubby, so we gave this a miss. The parking was fine but awkward to access in a large car. All in all a very strange experience
Too far out of city centre. Very small, weak strength shower & one toilet shared between 6 rooms. Kept awake most of the night by an intermittent rattling noise which I could not find the source of. Very annoying. Breakfast adequate.Rooms: 2/5
