A bit of advice…remember to bring your anti-gravity boots here, because this place is FLAWLESS. We had an amazing time, and I felt very well accommodated for from the moment I made the booking, to the moment we left. We had great seats overlooking the restaurant and it felt extra special and secluded. The food was the very best quality. You can tell the menu was put together with a lot of thought and consideration for a range of tastes. We’d love to return. Book ahead!
The most delicious meal for my Cornwall trip and my favorite seafood restaurant in the UK so far not one of the.With this price and the quality of food you got, I just wish I lived nearby and can visit regularly. The mussels as starter really gave you a very generous portion and everything else just with excellent standard.
A absolutely lovely restaurant where food, service and atmosphere all came together. The atmosphere was bright and warm. The staff were very welcoming and tentative. The food was amazing! Best restaurant we have been to in Penzance. Their seafood dishes are highly recommended to try. The Newlyn crab twice baked parmesan souffle is a must try!
Restaurant where everything comes to perfection, starting with the most welcoming staff we came 10min before closing and still got accepted in without any problems. Food is very fresh and rich in flavour, one of the best seafood places in UK! Definitely a must go restaurant when in Cornwall.
Lovely sea food restaurant located right next to the harbour in Mousehole. This is some of the best seafood I have ever had. Great fresh ingredients and tasted amazing. There was a gluten free menu available and most of the dishes were available in gluten free or could be adapted. I have pan fried Squid for a started and the Hake risotto for my main which was delicious. Friendly staff and a nice chilled out atmosphere I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the Mousehole, Penzance, Sennen or Lands End area.
We visited Mousehole yesterday and popped into here for some breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive, you felt that your custom really mattered! The restaurant has a really nice ambiance, tranquil and calm with an almost Mediterranean feel. The coffee was great, really punchy without being too bitter and the food was wonderful. I opted for the French toast with bacon, the former fluffy and not sweetened, the latter crisp, salty and tasty, perfect to balance out the generous amount of smoky sweet maple syrup. I would heartily recommend a visit if you are in the village!
We have been to several restaurants in Newlyn with similar price range and had to admit that 2 Fore Street restaurant is a mediocre one. Price is slightly higher but the dishes and quality are OK and some dishes are even not as good and unique. We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains and 1 dessert but only took pictures of the mains. I ordered the mussels for my main and there were way many beards in them. I need to check carefully and remove them myself. Staffs are OK, fulfill their tasks but not so smiley and warm to make you feel welcome. If you drive there, you might find that parking is a bit of a challenge. Did the restaurant impress me enough to come back? No
The food here was really nice and the service was excellent - but we found the portion sizes and quality was just a little short of where it should have been for the price we paid, and when a member of staff saw our child accidentally drop a fork - there was no offer to replace it... They were happy to replace the spoon he dropped later on during dessert when he went up to ask them, and I will note that it was nice that they had special children's cutlery and cups Definitely worth a visit, just a little pricey for what it was
Wonderful food and great service. Everyone was so polite which makes the experience perfect. We drove down from Penzance while on holiday- was a great find!
Fantastic place, great seafood and prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is great too. Only suggestion would maybe be soft drinks advertised on the menu.
