I like Lane swimming and going to the gym. I do not live locally but visit relatives in Dorset reasonably often. This means I cannot simply pay for a gym session - there is no option for this. I have to pay an assessment fee of £20 and then membership fees. This is ridiculous - I am a regular gym user and do not need an assessment. I should be asked to sign a disclaimer at max. Also the swim lanes are far too narrow to allow for enjoyable swimming. There were 6 in that fast lane and a number of collisions during my 40 minutes swim. Very disappointing overall.

Pool always seems a bit chilly to me. I'm an experienced and regular swimmer there, and it could just do with bring a degree warmer on most visits.. the changing rooms are nice enough, although there - never seem to be any overshoes, despite the signs reminding everyone to wear them! This has been the case in about 90% of my visits. Maybe it's the time of day I go, but details like this should be routine, really. Nice staff, and worth a try. 😃

Reviews on here seemed mediocre, I found d the changing rooms clean and the prices reasonable. £6.80 for one adult and one child to swim compares favourably with local alternatives. A nice pool with a good learner pool too. Mixed fun swim and lanes which was good too.
*** EDIT They have just gone "Cashless" so make you use your bank card for a £4 swim rather than the fiver you have in your pocket... And food luck getting change for a locker..! Crazy. *** Lost a star for that.

Whilst swimming there I had a great time. A big pool with lane swimming. Not too crowded and offered out small floatable balls to play with.

I mainly use the pool here, great to be able to swim 6am and late in the evening.  Great pool and friendly, helpful staff.
